In March 2023, an air reconnaissance unit of the Ukraine military located near Bakhmut, where heavy fighting is currently taking place, reported that their DJI Mavic 3 drone with a thermal camera had been hit beyond repair and they were in urgent need of a replacement. Immigration attorney Alex Tovarian from Sacramento, California, responded to the emergency call and paid for the drone in full. The drone is already in service and saving lives.
